我们将迎来雨水节气

“好雨知时节，当春乃发生。”

雨水是中国传统二十四节气(the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms)中的第二个节气。雨水的英文表达为Rain Water。

Today is Yushui, the Rain Water.

It is the 2nd solar term of spring and of the year.

It falls on February 18 or 19 each year.

雨水过后，降雨增加，气温回升。

After the Rain Water, rainfall increases, and the weather gets warmer.

河面解冻，大雁北飞。

The river ice melts, and wild geese fly back to the North.

万物蓄势待发，嫩芽即将破土萌动，草木开始变绿。

Trees and grass turn green again.

春雨贵如油

中国有一句谚语是“春雨贵如油”。雨水节气是农民耕作的关键时期。

According to an old Chinese saying, the rainfall in spring is as precious as oil. The Rain Water is a key periodfor farming.

倒春寒

晚春时期常出现“倒春寒(return of cold spell)”现象，在此阶段要格外注意保暖。

The fast increase in air humidity due to rainfall can result in lower temperature and wet weather. It is strongly advised not to take off the thick coats too early and to keep warm, especially elderly and children.

降雨带来的空气湿度骤增会导致温度降低，天气潮湿。在此期间，强烈建议不要太早脱掉厚外套，注意保暖，尤其是老人和小孩。

雨水后天气转暖，风多物燥，此时节可多喝水、多吃些新鲜蔬菜和多汁水果，以补充人体所需水分，增强血液循环，促进新陈代谢。

After the rain, the weather becomes warmer and the wind is more dry. At this time, we can drink more water and eat more fresh vegetables and juicy fruits to supplement the body's required moisture, enhance blood circulation, and promote metabolism.
