白果园位于芙蓉区白果园街，长不过百米，宽仅4米，却承载着几个世纪的风风雨雨。

Located at Bai Guo Yuan Alley in Furong District, Bai Guo Yuan is only 100 meters long and 4 meters wide, but it carries the ups and downs of centuries.

巷口有几棵参天的白果树，每逢夏天就会结出许多白果，白果园也因此得名。

There are several towering white fruitage trees at the entrance of the alley and produce many fruits every summer, hence the name of the Bai Guo Yuan.

百果园巷21号以前是程潜先生的公馆。公馆内外都基本保留了原有设计，一走进去便能感受到历史的气息。

No. 21 of Baig Guo Yuan Alley used to be the residence of Mr. Cheng Qian. Both inside and outside the residence have basically retained the original design, and people walking inside can feel the historical atmosphere.

斑驳的红砖墙与周围的绿树相互映衬 。 石制的门槛、木质的玻璃窗，都显示出浓郁的民国风格。

The mottled red brick wall and the surrounding green trees set off each other. The stone threshold and the wooden glass windows all show a strong style of the Republic of China.

白果园虽然和繁华的黄兴步行街只有一条小巷子的距离，但是这条巷子隔出了两种生活。

Although Bai Guo Yuan is only a small alley away from the bustling Huangxing Pedestrian Street, this alley separates two kinds of life.

步行街上人来人往，小吃店前排着长长的队伍，热闹又繁华 。 而白果园里， 静谧悠然，犹如世外桃源。

People come and go on the street, and there are long queues in front of snack bars, which is lively and prosperous. And Bai Guo Yuan, quiet and leisurely, like a paradise.

人们日复一日的在这里生活着，抬头能看到高楼，低头能看到麻石路。或许这便是岁月的力量。

People live here day after day, looking up to see tall buildings, looking down to see the stone road. Perhaps this is the power of the years.
