The 11th Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs will be held in Huaihua between September 12 and 14, 2024. It was learned from a press conference hosted by the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government in Changsha on September 3, 2024.

The forum is organized by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province, and undertaken by the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the CPC Huaihua Municipal Committee, and the People's Government of Huaihua City.

Themed "New Leadership, New Highland, and New Chapter", the forum will have 5 major and 8 parallel activities. The main activities include the announcement of the establishment of Hunan Entrepreneurs Friendship Association and the construction of Hunan Entrepreneurs Headquarters Base; the opening ceremony; and field inspection tours. Parallel activities include the exchange conferences on the development of new display industry, and the construction of international land port and the development of cold chain logistics; the exchange meeting on the development of pharmaceutical and health industry and the Huaihua Conference on ISO International Standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine; the special promotion conference on investment attraction and industrial chain of the western regions of Hunan Province; and, the young Hunan entrepreneurs' trips to Hongjiang.

There will be about 1,000 guests to attend the forum, including persons in charge of Fortune Global 500 enterprises, top 500 Chinese enterprises, and top 500 Chinese private enterprises; well-known Hunan entrepreneur representatives such as Chinese entrepreneurs and overseas Chinese leaders; representatives of domestic universities, academicians, and experts from scientific research institutions; and, representatives of Hunan chambers of commerce at home and abroad, and international chambers of commerce. Member enterprises from 664 Hunan chambers of commerce outside the province and 46 Hunan chambers of commerce outside the country will participate in the forum online. Sub-venues will also be set up at some major Hunan chambers of commerce.

The Global Forum for Hunan Entrepreneurs has been held for ten years since its first session in 2007, with a total of 1,920 investment and cooperation projects being signed. It has created a brand highlighting the return of Hunan Entrepreneurs, showcased the achievements of Hunan's reform and opening up, and enhanced the progress of Hunan's high-quality development. The 2024 session intends to sign more than 100 major investment projects at the provincial level, to fully demonstrate the important role of Hunan entrepreneurs in accelerating the high-quality development of Hunan Province. The projects will focus on building "Three Hubs", Hunan's "4×4" modernized industrial system, 11 multiplying industrial chains, the Global Hunan Entrepreneurs Headquarters Base, the building of Changsha into a global R&D center city, and the Huaihua International Land Port.
