A cultural tourism resources promotion and investment matchmaking conference of Changsha City was convened on September 26. Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, and Zhou Haibing, vice governor of Hunan Province and mayor of Changsha City, attended.

A set of service specifications on "Tourist Satisfaction in Changsha" were released at the conference. Attendees watched a video showcasing the outcomes of the third Changsha Tourism Development Conference. The city's achievements in the creation of national and provincial brands related to the cultural tourism sector for 2023-2024 were also announced.

In recent years, Changsha has made elaborate efforts for the "culture + science and technology" and "culture + tourism" integration, continuously increasing the popularity of its three cultural calling cards—long history, rich revolutionary legacy, and active modern culture. As a result, the city has successfully cultivated 11 national and 71 provincial brands. In the first half of 2024, both the number of tourist visits and the total revenue of tourism in Changsha City achieved double-digit growth.

During an on-site project signing session, the Changsha Travel Agency Association signed cooperation agreements with key overseas travel agents from South Korea, Indonesia, and China's Macao. The associations for self-driving tours in six provinces in central China signed a cooperation agreement. Fourteen key cultural tourism projects were contracted, with a total investment of 10.663 billion CNY.

The conference was also attended by relevant Changsha municipal leaders; relevant comrades in charge of other cities and prefecture in the province, provincial units, and cultural and tourism departments of some cities outside the province, and municipal units; persons in charge of districts, county and county-level cities in the city; leaders of cultural tourism associations and enterprises; and, representatives of cultural and technological enterprises and project contractors.
