Celebrations of National Day and 90th Anniversary of Changsha Ecological Zoo

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Changsha Ecological Zoo

Activities: In celebration of the National Day and the 90th anniversary of the opening of the zoo, the Changsha Ecological Zoo is specially decorated, with interactive facilities and photo spots set up. A series of activities will be organized such as seal collection and meeting small animals, to entertain both children and adult visitors.

First Sweet Osmanthus and Lantern Festival

Duration: September 7 to October 7

Venue: Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town China-chic Paradise

Activities: Sweet osmanthus elements have been incorporated into traditional lantern displays, such as sweet osmanthus lantern riddles as well as snacks and dishes, providing visitors with a cheerful, beautiful, tasty, and fragrant tour.

National Folk Customs Festival

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage Theme Park

Activities: A parade featuring auspicious animals in a China-chic style, along with light shows and fireworks displays, are to be held to showcase folk customs and culture, creating a festive atmosphere.

Seven-day Intangible Cultural Heritage Fun Party

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Yuhua Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall

Activities: Intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and experience activities in various forms. 

China-chic Gourmet Festival and National Day Celebrations

Duration: September 28 to October 12

Venue: Daolin Ancient Town Scenic Area

Activities: Art performances including singing, dancing, and acrobatic shows, as well as lion dance and other folk performances, will be staged in the scenic area. Visitors can experience traditional Chinese culture through making handcrafted works and joining in traditional games. Various specialty dishes and snacks will be offered at the gourmet festival during the National Day holiday. 

Fun Celebrations for National Day

Duration: October 1

Venue: Tianhan Cultural Park, Changsha County

Activities: National flag raising ceremony, national anthem chanting, China-chic art shows, and intangible cultural heritage experience activities.

"Princess From Chang'an" Flash Mob Show

Duration: October 1

Venue: inside and outside the Special Exhibition Hall 2, Changsha Museum

Activities: Performers wearing traditional Han-style costumes and holding lacquerwares and musical instruments of the Han Dynasty will stage an immersive scene performance, leading the audience to travel back to the Changsha Kingdom 2,000 years ago.

National Day Temple Fair

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Fire God Palace (Huo Gongdian Restaurant), Pozi Street

Activities: Various interactive activities including folk customs temple fair and intangible cultural heritage fair.

Photography Tour: A Journey through Time and Space

Duration: National Day holiday

Venue: Changsha Jiandu Museum

Activities: Experiencing Han-style cloths and taking photos.

Opening Ceremony of Embroidery and Farming Park

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: South of the Culture Square, Shaping Town

Activities: The park is the only outdoor recreation and experience base on the theme of "embroidery and silkworm" in China. It is located in the "Town of Embroidery" – Shaping Xiang Embroidery Town in north Changsha, which is also a 3A-level scenic area.

Third Sunflower Art Festival

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Tianluo Estate in Guandu Town, Liuyang

Activities: Visitors can appreciate a sea of sunflowers, taste intangible culture heritage—Guandu spicy river snails and special local dishes, and interact with clowns, feeling the integration of art and nature.

"Our Festival—National Day" Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance and Study Event

Duration: October 1 to 7

Venue: Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall

Activities: Visitors can try to create Xiang embroidery, Chinese knot, Tongguan pyrograph, and other handcrafted works under the instruction of intangible cultural heritage inheritors. 

"West Meets East: Retrospective Exhibition of Marc Riboud's Photography"

Duration: September 26 to December 10

Venue: Hunan Museum
