The 5th Changsha · China 1024 Programmers' Festival opened at the World Computing · Changsha Intelligent Valley, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area on October 24, with the theme of "New Ecology for Intelligent Applications". More than 200 technical elites and industry insiders from around the world gathered together for a summit dialogue to explore new trends in information technology and industry development. Tan Yong, deputy secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, secretary of the CPC Working Committee of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area (Changsha High-tech Zone) and secretary of the CPC Yuelu District Committee, announced the opening of the festival.

The festival was jointly organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee, the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the Changsha Information Industrial Park Management Committee, and the Chinese Software Developer Network (CSDN). Activities include the Yuelu Dialogue, the Technical Heroes Meeting, more than 10 thematic summits and competitions, exhibitions, and the Night of Developers, covering hot topics such as AI model technology and application, data technology, intelligent software development, autonomous driving and intelligent vehicles, and operating systems.

As a highlight of the festival's opening ceremony, the Yuelu Dialogue began with two significant discussions. An expert team led by Gary Bradski, a legend in computer vision, dissected the new pattern of intelligent interaction with the title "Ten Questions About Embodied Intelligence and Robotics". Large language model (LLM) technology pioneers headed by Dou Dejing, chief scientist of Beijing Electronic Digital & Intelligence, focused on the "AI-based LLMs" and proposed ten questions, mapping out a new landscape for the development of intelligent computing.

During a roundtable dialogue session, domestic and foreign experts had an in-depth dialogue on ten core issues such as the essential definition of embodied intelligence, multi-modal information integration, and ethical norms. The experts included Jiang Lei, expert group leader for humanoid robots of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Gary Bradski, founder of OpenCV, one of the largest computer vision libraries in the world.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of seven enterprises witnessed a handshake between Changsha's industries and Beijing's LLM ecosystem enterprises, injecting new vitality into the development of intelligent industries in the two places.
