Changsha Airport's Passenger and Freight Throughout Achieves Breakthroughs in First 9 Months

The first three quarters of 2024 saw major breakthroughs in the passenger and freight throughout of Changsha Huanghua International Airport. A steady stream of passengers and cargo bound for foreign countries create a busy scene at the airport. The "flowing Changsha" is filled with vitality.

Data show that the Changsha Huanghua International Airport handled 165,268 flight takeoffs and landings in the first three quarters, with a daily average of 603. This represented a year-on-year increase of 8.65%. Meanwhile, the airport's passenger throughout reached 23.785 million, with an average daily of 86,800. In particular, 6,393 flights takeoffs and landings were recorded along the international and Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan routes, an increase of 94.10%. The number of inbound and outbound passenger trips surged 155.97% year on year to 743,300.

From January to September, Changsha Airport's international (regional) cargo throughput amounted to 52,200 tonnes, up 21.1% from the same period last year.

In the first nine months, Changsha Airport operated a total of 22 international routes, 4 more than last year. Among them, there were 16 passenger routes and 6 cargo ones.
