3rd Xiangtan Tourism Development Conference kicks off

The opening ceremony of the 3rd Xiangtan Tourism Development Conference was held in Shaoshan City of Xiangtan City on October 29.

Five main activities were held during the conference, including the observation activity, guest representative exchange and discussion meetings, the opening ceremony, and Xiangtan Red Cultural and Tourism Industry Promotion Conference. Meanwhile, there were five supporting activities, such as Red Tourism Week, the ideological and political education promotion activity, Xiangtan’s food promotion activity, cultural and sports tourism integration series activities, and “My Wedding in Shaoshan”.

At the opening ceremony, Shaoshan City promoted its Red cultural and tourism resources, and an initiative was issued to accelerate the construction of the “classic Red” brand represented by Shaoshan. Besides, “New Hunan Contribution Awards”, top 10 new Internet-famous tourist destinations in Xiangtan, top 10 most popular tourism products in Xiangtan, and must-taste foods recommended by tourism experts in Xiangtan were released, allowing tourists to experience the unique charm of Xiangtan.

After the opening ceremony, original artistic performances with strong local cultural characteristics were presented to promote Xiangtan’s cultural and tourism resources from multiple perspectives.
