The 19th Hunan Cuisine Cultural Festival was launched in Shenzhen on November 7. It was hosted by the Hunan Department of Commerce, the Shenzhen office of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and Hunan Daily. Themed "Great Hunan Cuisine in Greater Bay Area", the festival consists of a series of activities, including a Hunan-Guangdong integrated catering development conference, a cooking skill innovation competition for Hunan cuisine chefs in the Greater Bay Area, a production and marketing matchmaking meeting for Hunan's agricultural brands, an award ceremony also a tasting feast, and a Hunan agricultural brand exhibition. With Shenzhen as the center, the event would expand its influence to other cities in the Greater Bay Area through organizing food cultural exchange activities. It aimed to promote Hunan cuisine and Hunan specialty foods, furthering boost Hunan cuisine to "go global", and accelerate the upgrade and high-quality development of the Hunan cuisine industry.
