A delegation for "Political Party +" cooperation from Southeast and South Asian countries gathered in the beautiful “star city” of Changsha from November 7 to 10. This was the first stop of the 24-member delegation's visit to China.
Members of the delegation paid field visits to the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Changsha) Testing Area, Zoomlion, and other places in the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area. Delegates held up their phones to capture moments while watching dynamic demonstrations of a smart driverless minibus and wine glass placement, needle-threading, and mechanical dance performances by excavators.

"From the introduction, I learned that China is not only developing advanced technologies on its own, but is also sharing its experiences with other countries that need these cutting-edge technologies for their development, which is impressive!" After learning about the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry in Changsha, Ikram Hassan, former member of the Maldivian Democratic Party, asked in detail about the development of the industry, expressing his hope to apply this knowledge in his home country in the future.
As early as 2016, Changsha took the lead in laying out its intelligent connected vehicle industry. The city boasts the largest intelligent connected vehicle closed test field with the most complete functions and the most diverse intelligent scenarios in China. The city has constructed 100-sq. km urban public road areas and 100-km smart expressways, and has opened the country's first smart bus line.
"Friends, long live our friendship, raise your glasses to drink and sing together, friendship forever..." The warm melodies of the Chinese and English chorus, accompanied by the soulful sound of the saxophone, filled the air around the Yanghu International Community Public Service Center. Here, members of the delegation visited the community library where they practiced calligraphy, played chess, sang songs with local residents, and learned about the process of managing community affairs.
This community is the first international community in the province, the core of Changsha's "Intelligent Manufacturing" Overseas Returnee Town Pilot Area. More than 90 foreigners are registered in the community, with 1,730 young people (including returnee youth), accounting for over 50% of the total population.

"I am very impressed by the local government's efforts to improve the welfare of the community. They are organized to provide targeted services for people of different ages," said a delegate, who is a member of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Front for Independence in East Timor. She added, "I took a lot of photos, and will bring them home to share with my colleagues and friends.”
"Advanced" "Impressive" "Inspiration"... Members of the delegation also visited the Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the Longping Rice Museum, and other venues. They were amazed by smart agriculture exhibits and by the dazzling light show on both sides of the Xiangjiang River. "Changsha is a city full of creativity and vitality, and the natural scenery here is particularly beautiful. I hope to come here again next time with my family and friends," said Ting Fu Ying, information chief of Malaysia's Progressive Democratic Party and political secretary to the Prime Minister of Sarawak.
