At 3:00 am on November 19, a China-Europe freight train fully loaded with Hunan-made construction machinery and parts, automobiles, home appliances, and articles for daily use, pulled out from the Changsha International Railway Port and headed towards its overseas destination.

As of November 20, Changsha has handled 910 China-Europe freight trains this year, and this number is estimated to exceed 1,000 by the end of the year. The China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service has expanded to 100 cities in nearly 30 Asian and European countries, operating 12 routes to Minsk, Moscow, Malaszewicze, Hamburg, Duisburg, Tahkent, and other destinations.

The China-Europe (Changsha) freight train service actively serves the local enterprises, contributing to Hunan's export-oriented economic development. It custom-tailored special containers and launched chartered trains to deliver non-standard cargos of heavy industry, automobile, and other manufacturing enterprises, such as Zoomlion, SANY Heavy Industry, Sinoboom, Sunward, Foton, and Geely. Between January and October, 222 China-Europe (Changsha) freight trains have been operated, increasing by 14% over last year. It can help the enterprises save 40% logistics cost, said the person in charge of the municipal office of logistics and ports.

In the fourth quarter, Changsha's foreign trade sectors has entered its final stretch. On the basis of earlier communication with the clients, the China-Europe (Changsha) freight train operator estimated that nearly 300 freight trains will be operated in the fourth quarter. The cargos will be mainly delivered to Russia, Republic of Belarus, Poland, Germany, and some countries and regions in Central Asia.
