Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, met with a delegation of the Communist Party of India (CPI) cadres led by Rama Krushna Panda, a national secretariat member of the CPI, in Changsha on the afternoon of December 9, 2024.

On December 9, Deputy Secretary Li met with a CPI delegation in Changsha.

Deputy Secretary Li, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, welcomed the guests. He noted that the world today is undergoing an accelerated transformation not seen in a century, with comprehensive adjustment of economic and political patterns. In the face of the exceptionally complex and severe international situation, it is more necessary to strengthen inter-party communications.

Hunan has a large population and great market potential, a sound industrial foundation, rich scientific and educational resources, and an advantageous geographical location, playing a vital role in China's regional economy. The province is currently promoting in-depth reform, high-level opening up, and coordinated innovation, in accordance with the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee. He expected to enhance exchanges and mutual learning with the CPI delegation, adding that both sides should better follow the laws of political party building and economic and social development, and advance pragmatic cooperation in trade and investment, science and technology, education, culture and tourism, modern agriculture, and other fields, contributing to the respective development and the benefit of the people on both sides.

Rama Krushna Panda introduced the relevant situation in India and the Communist Party of India. He hoped the visit would deepen exchanges between the two parties, improve relations between the two countries, and bring about more collaboration.
