Hunan's NEV Production Hits 950,000

A press conference on the annual summary of the industry and information technology sector was held in Changsha on January 7.

According to the conference, Hunan's industries with unique advantages have played a more prominent supporting role in 2024.

Hunan has accelerated its pace in boosting "integration of informatization and industrialization" and "progress of advanced manufacturing and modern service industry". Construction machinery sector has expanded its business to remanufacturing and aftermarket services, while exploring broader overseas markets with a 20.7% increase in the export value. Rail transit equipment sector has moved towards orientations of new energy, new materials, and power semiconductors. New-generation autonomous rail rapid transit (ART), super autonomous rail rapid transit (SRT), and maglev trains made their debuts at home and abroad.

Hunan has carried out a campaign to enhance product variety, quality and branding. Hunan's NEV output is estimated to hit 950,000, ranking fifth nationwide. Emerging products including 3D printing facilities and smart phones witnessed 104.4% and 66.4% growth in production respectively.
