A plaque-unveiling ceremony was held on January 15 to mark the promotion of the People's Hospital of Liuyang to a grade A tertiary general hospital, the highest level in the nation's three-tier grading system for hospitals. Zeng Qing, second-level inspector of the Hunan Provincial Health Commission, and Xiao Zhengbo, Standing Committee member of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Liuyang County-level Committee attended.
Established in 1952, the People's Hospital of Liuyang has a capacity of 1,480 beds, 42 clinical departments and five medical technology departments. In 2024, the hospital was included in the first batch of demonstration hospitals for high-quality development in Hunan Province, and its 15 disciplines were identified as provincial and municipal key specialties.
