A press conference on the fourth Hunan Tourism Development Conference was held on the morning of January 21, 2025. It announced that the conference is scheduled to take place in Yueyang between May 24 and 26. The slogan of the conference is "Welcome to Charming Hunan, the Magnificent Lake in Yueyang."

The logo of the conference is "Welcome to Yueyang." The design is inspired by the iconic Yueyang Tower. Yueyang Tower, known as the No.1 Tower in China, is one of the ten historical and cultural towers in China, one of the four ancient towers nationwide, and one of the three famous towers in regions south of the Yangtze River. Yueyang Tower is also regarded as an important calling card in the city. The logo features the structure of Chinese character "岳" through ingenious design.

The mascots for the event, "Jiang Xiaotun" and "Yue Xiaolou," were unveiled at the press conference. The design of "Jiang Xiaotun" is inspired by Yangtze finless porpoises, a unique protected wild animal in Yueyang. The feet of the mascot, "Jiang Xiaotun", are decorated with exquisite wave patterns, which subtly reflects its connection to the waters of Dongting Lake, adding dynamism and vitality. The design of "Yue Xiaolou" is inspired by the landmark Yueyang Tower, featuring a hat shaped like the tower itself and standing on auspicious clouds. This not only highlights the historical charm of Yueyang Tower but also signifies the prosperity and auspiciousness of Yueyang's tourism sector. With smiles on their faces and open arms, the two mascots extend a warm welcome to every visitor.
