The Echoing Through the Ages — An Archaeological Scroll of Prehistoric Civilization in Hunan was unveiled at the National Museum of China on January 21, 2025. The exhibition is sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, organized by the Hunan Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, and undertaken by the Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. It adopts the art of Chinese painting for the first time to panoramically reproduce the grand evolution of Hunan prehistoric civilization. The scroll was jointly created by several painters over a period of two years, measuring 140 meters in length and 1.8 meters in height.

The exhibition also selects 49 groups (91 pieces) of archaeological artifacts of Hunan prehistoric civilization, including stone tools, bone tools, pottery, and jade for simultaneous presentation, to increase the richness, vividness, and educational value of the exhibition. The exhibition will last for one month.
