The 2025 Hunan (Nanxian County) Luowen Sea Flower Half Marathon is to be held on March 16 at the Dongting Heart Square in Nanxian County, Yiyang City, according to the organizing committee. Now registration for the race is open from February 12 to March 8.

Themed "Welcome to Charming Luowen," the event consists of three categories: half marathon (21.0975km), a healthy run (10km), and a fun run (5km). An estimated 3,500 runners will participate in the event.
The half marathon route starts and finishes at Dongting Heart Square. Runners will run through a vast of canola flower fields and pass various rural landmarks and scenic spots, including the Statue of Dongting Dragon King's Daughter; the ring roads in Luowen Village – an artistic graffiti village; and, the Ouchi River East Tributary Dyke. Along the course, runners can immerse themselves in the view of a sea of flowers while experiencing the vitality of rural revitalization.

The canola flowers in Luowen Village will enter full-blossom period in spring. The golden canola flowers perfectly blend with the graffiti-covered dwellings, creating a unique scene. Beyond that, the Dongting Heart sports travel route was included in China's top 10 sports travel routes in 2019 and was honored as one of China's quality sports travel routes in 2023.
Professional athletes and running enthusiasts are welcomed to sign up for the event through the official WeChat accounts of "Nanxian Integrated Media [南县融媒]" and "Nanxian Public Cultural Tourism Cloud [南县公共文旅云]" or a partner platform "X-Running League [湘跑联盟]."
