Renderings of Changsha Olympic Sports Center Unveiled

Recently, high-definition rendered images and the design scheme for the Changsha Olympic Sports Center were unveiled for the first time. This prominent facility will be the largest sports venue in Hunan. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of this year, with completion expected in December 2028. This development lays a solid foundation for Hunan's bid for the 2029 National Games and other comprehensive sports events both at home and abroad.

The architectural plan of the Changsha Olympic Sports Center was carefully created by a team led by Mei Hongyuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief designer of the 9th Asian Winter Games venue.The plan features the building of an energetic and ecological 'green heart', which faces the Xiangjiang Science Town across the river. With the theme of "A Red Cradle, A Butterfly Dances Along Xiangjiang River," nine shell-shaped sections, each in obverse and reverse sides, are interwoven to constitute the stadium, complemented by a red 'heart' at its center.
