The German SME Headquarters Cluster (Hunan) Investment Promotion Conference was held in the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area on April 8. Nearly ten German enterprises brought their products and technologies to the site, engaging in face-to-face discussions with potential Hunan-based partners. Two German SME headquarters projects and two Hunan-Germany cooperation projects were signed.Germany is Hunan's largest trading partner in Europe, and its advantages in technology, management, and experience in the manufacturing sector are highly aligned with Changsha's development strategy of becoming a hub of advanced manufacturing and a global center for research and development (R&D). As a national strategic platform, the Xiangjiang New Area has continuously deepened economic and trade cooperation with Germany as well as other European countries in recent years. The New Area has accelerated the construction of open platforms such as the German SME Headquarters Cluster (Hunan) and the Changsha National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals. A large number of well-known German-funded enterprises, including Zurbrüggen, BASF, and Schaeffler, have settled and grown in the New Area, making the area an important window and destination for Germany and even Europe to enter the Hunan market.

Before the conference, the Xiangjiang New Area carefully selected cooperation projects in the fields of construction machinery, intelligent connected vehicles, and advanced energy storage, in alignment with the needs of German enterprises and merchants."The Xiangjiang New Area not only boasts an efficient and pragmatic government and a complete industrial chain, but also a group of innovative and contract-respecting partners. This is the best testing ground for German enterprises to explore the Chinese market and realize the value of their technologies," said Christian Zurbrüggen, president of the Zurbrüggen Group. He extended an invitation to German entrepreneurs on-site and revealed that the group will focus on technical collaboration, application scenario expansion, and local services to help more 'Made in Germany' products take root in Hunan and develop globally.
